Building transformative products requires turning enterprise reality into strategic advantage. My approach is guided by three principles: - Value emerges from deep market understanding - Operational clarity drives product excellence - Sustainable success is built through organizational design ## Current Focus The Martech landscape is being reshaped, with two market forces at play: AI promises to reduce operational costs, while market conditions demand unprecedented efficiency. At the same time, real-time CX remains expensive (both in R&D and COGS) and bogged down by implementation complexity. . This is both an opportunity and complexity for customer engagement platforms. There's real potential in moving from manual CX interventions to automated approaches. Companies like Offerfit and Hightouch are showing promising results through AI approaches, particularly reinforcement learning, though they still face challenges with data cold starts and implementation complexity. . I am currently focused on these two distinct, but related opportunities: using novel pricing and packaging models to deliver reduced R&D and operational costs of real-time CX implementations, and developing automated approaches to marketing decisioning that preserve strategic control while improving operational efficiency. ## ActionIQ (acq. by Uniphore) Director of Product 2021-2024 Joined ActionIQ at a fascinating market inflection point - enterprise CDPs were being redefined by composable architecture, real-time capabilities had become table stakes, and AI was reshaping how enterprises deliver customer experiences. Led the strategic evolution of our enterprise platform through this transition, launching two transformative product lines: [Real Time CX](https://www.actioniq.com/solutions/real-time-experiences/) and [CXAI](https://www.actioniq.com/solutions/cx-ai/). Beyond product innovation, we tackled the fundamental challenge of enterprise scale. By reimagining our infrastructure approach, we achieved significant improvement to platform margins while reducing COGS - proving that technical excellence and business performance reinforce each other when approached strategically. Led team operations and product analytics strengthening data informed decisions, established cross-functional systems and processes with GTM (Sales, Marketing) and Delivery Teams (Engineering, Design, Customer Success, Professional Services). Helped drive market adoption through industry thought leadership, webinars, customer advisory, account support, and supporting strategic partnerships with SI/ISV partners. This work positioned ActionIQ as a compelling CDP offering, ultimately being acquired by Uniphore, creating a unique capability at the intersection of AI and customer experience. ## Lowdown.app Co-Founder 2020-2021 Started Lowdown to address a critical gap in product leadership development - while demand for product talent was surging, the tools and approaches for developing that talent remained surprisingly traditional and disconnected from real-world practice. Led product strategy and development of a learning platform that reimagined how product professionals develop their careers. Strengthened our leadership bench by bringing in an ex-Google executive as co-founder. While user engagement validated our core thesis, the unit economics were not there and ultimately, we wound up operations in 2021. ## Utopus Insights (acq. by Vestas) Director of Platform 2017-2020 Joined Utopus to tackle a fascinating challenge in renewable energy - billions in wind energy assets were being managed through a patchwork of legacy systems and manual processes. The opportunity? Transform how utilities approach asset optimization through predictive analytics. Led product strategy from pre-PMF to managing 15% of global wind energy capacity. The key insight came from immersing deep with customer operations teams - the challenge wasn't just data processing (surprise, surprise), but creating an enterprise-grade platform that could seamlessly integrate with decades-old systems while meeting modern compliance requirements. Our success in scaling to support a significant portion of global wind operations caught the attention of major OEMs, leading to an acquisition by Vestas, and significant post-acquisition growth (expanded an initial team of 25 to 200+, across Nyew York, Bangalore and Budapest). ## IBM Platform Lead 2014-2017 Enterprise transformation at global scale presents a unique challenge - how do you build platforms that can serve Fortune 500 companies across different markets while maintaining consistent excellence? At IBM, I led the development of an asset analytics platform that would test this question in fascinating ways. The complexity wasn't just technical. We were asking major utilities to transform how they run operations, which meant our platform needed to bridge legacy systems with modern analytics capabilities. Leading teams across New York, Budapest, and Beijing, we developed an approach that balanced innovation with enterprise stability. This experience shaped my perspective on enterprise product strategy: technical innovation only creates value when it's matched with clear operational benefits and practical implementation paths. It's a principle that has guided my approach to product leadership ever since. ### Prior Experience I began my career building innovative solutions to complex problems - from powering real-time offers on Travelocity's homepage to analytics platforms for insurance and energy companies. This revealed a crucial insight: the most impactful innovation comes from bridging technical capabilities with business needs. And this realization drew me to product leadership. A foundation in technical innovation (MS Information Systems, patents, and co-authored work in data mining) combined with deep understanding of enterprise needs across multiple industries enables me to effectively bridge technical and business objectives, driving product strategy that delivers business impact and customer value. ### Patents My work in energy analytics and predictive maintenance has resulted in multiple patents. These innovations reflect my focus on practical solutions to complex enterprise challenges. More at [[Publications]] ### Publications As co-author of "Data Mining Techniques for Complex Systems" and through various technical publications, I've contributed to the broader conversation about how enterprises can leverage advanced analytics for business advantage. My writing focuses on bridging theoretical possibilities with practical implementation.
